According to a research institute under the Ministry of Commerce, the Belt and Road initiative over the years has offered over 200,000 local jobs.

In particular, as stated in a forum on Belt and Road by Zhang Wei, vice president of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, China has established 82 zones of economic and commercial cooperation abroad with 24 countries by the end of 2018. This international cooperation has led to the creation of over 200,000 local jobs and investments for 36.5 billion dollars.
