One of the main data to consider is definitely the price. According to a China Telecom Exec executive, smartphones with fifth-generation connectivity could cost up to 2,000 CNY (284 USD) by the end of next year.
Prices will be between CNY 3,000 and CNY 10,000 by the end of 2019.
Lu Liangjun, vice president of marketing at China Telecom, told NetEase that the 5G phone market will increase and more than a dozen phones will be available later this year. Therefore, prices will be between CNY 3,000 and CNY 10,000 by the end of 2019.
Telecommunications equipment manufacturer Huawei has released its first 5G phone in China – Mate 20 X 5G – for the price of 6,199 CNY (880 USD). More than a million people have booked the phone. Rivals ZTE and Oppo, on the other hand, have also launched 5G devices for about CNY5,000.
