China Post Group Corp., the nation’s state-run mail service, plans to use new-energy vehicles for all of its delivery vans
China Post Group Corporation is the state-owned enterprise operating the official postal service of China, which provides the service in mainland China, excluding its special administrative regions, Hong Kong and Macau. This postal service has a very old history in China, just think that its birth dates back to the Shang Dynasty., and over the years it has always tried to improve its service.
Now, with the new challenges posed by global warming and pollution, China Post wants to become eco-friendly and it plans to use new-energy vehicles for all of its delivery vans by 2020 under a new ‘green post’ initiative.

Furthermore, according to Xinhua, the Beijing-based firm will also push to use digital waybills for 90 percent of deliveries and it will use more degradable packaging materials. China Post does all this to adapt to modern times and to give to the world an image of itself that respects the environment.
However, the China Post has already taken steps to improve the environment. According to the information reported, China Post already uses reusable postbags and has slashed disposable bag use by 100 million a year in a bid to become more environmentally friendly.
If on the one hand the China Post wants to improve its impact on the environment thanks to technological upgrades, on the other hand it intends to stimulate a green revolution also thanks to bank loans. The group’s bank, Postal Savings Bank of China Co., plans to grant more loans in the renewable energy field, including green transport and equipment making.
