Respectively, the Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi (C), Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov (L) and Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj met for the 16th meeting of Chinese Foreign Ministers , Russia and India in Wuzhen, in the eastern province of Zhejiang in China, February. The meeting, which took place on Wednesday, aims to intensify coordination and cooperation between the three countries and firmly support multilateralism and jointly combat terrorism.
Wang expressed the position of the ICNA and said that China, Russia and India should improve coordination and jointly promote the world peace and stability. Wang also suggested that the three countries should firmly safeguard the international system with the United Nations (UN) as a core, and adhere to the principle of non-interference in internal affairs and deepen counter-terrorism and security cooperation.

Lavrov and Swaraj said that the international community should observe the principle of the United Nations Charter and respect the norms of international laws and relations. After the meeting, the three countries issued a joint statement. The three parties agreed to jointly combat all forms of terrorism.
On the question of Venezuela, they said that it should be resolved by the Venezuelan people through constructive dialogue rather than resorting to violence, and military intervention is opposed. The three parties also agreed to consolidate and continuously expand trilateral practical cooperation and to work on a mechanism of meeting between their defense ministers at an appropriate time. So the cooperation between these three countries will always be stronger.
