Shengli, an important oil field in China, produced 23.41 million tons of crude oil in 2018, about 10,000 tons above the target. Certainly an important success for one of the richest areas of oil in the country.
Shengli Oilfield, the flagship of Chinese state oil giant Sinopec, said it added 25.03 million tonnes of proven crude oil reserves last year. Furthermore, in 2018 the field also produced 480 million cubic meters of natural gas, 110 million cubic meters above the target.

An important milestone for opening a significant year like 2019, marking the 55th anniversary of the official launch of the exploration and development of Shengli Oilfield. This plays an important role in ensuring China’s energy security and an important role for the whole country.
At the end of January, according to the latest data, its crude oil production exceeded 1.2 billion total tons for more than 50 years. Located in the delta of the Yellow River, the Shengli field was discovered in 1961 and its development began in 1964.
