US-China tension, Huawei develops its own operating system

The preventive choice was confirmed by Richard Yu, CEO of the Huawei consumer products division

The tensions, not only commercial, between China and the United States of America do not seems to stop Huawei – the protagonist more than interested in the issue – who now plays in defense.

In fact, the company’s top executives have confirmed that they have developed their own operating system for phones, tablets and computers in the event that growing tensions lead to an interruption of use for the Google Android system.

“We have prepared our own operating system. If we are no longer authorized to use the Android system, we already have our own internal B plan,” said Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s consumer products division, in an interview with the German newspaper Die Welt.

The tension between the US and China sees Huawei in the field as one of the protagonists of the dispute

The tension between the Chinese company and the United States seems to be increasing, even with the trade war between the US and China. In recent years the States have become increasingly wary of Huawei network devices and smartphones, so much so as to conduct a public campaign against their use.

However, at the beginning of March, Huawei went on the counter-offensive. The Chinese company, in fact, filed a lawsuit against the US government in response to a ban prohibiting federal agencies from using Huawei-branded equipment.
